TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS AGO 17 AND AGO 44
(GOTHERINGTON PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council Has Made an Order to
close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act,
1984 (as amended) parts of the footpaths as detailed in the schedule below;
SCHEDULE
Part of Public Footpath AGO 17 from its junction with Shutter Lane at Ordnance
Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO 95968/29518 extending in a generally north
easterly direction for approximately 90 metres to its junction with Lawrence’s Drive at
OSGR SO 96022/29551 as indicated on the order plan by a solid black line marked
A to B to D
Part of Public Footpath AGO 44 from its junction AGO 17 at OSGR SO 96000/29518
extending in a generally easterly direction for approximately 20 metres to its junction
with the permissive path along the eastern edge of the field at OSGR SO
96010/29502 as indicated on the plan by a solid black line marked B to C.
The paths fall within the Parish of Gotherington in Tewkesbury Borough and in the
County of Gloucestershire.
The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst utility works are undertaken.
The Order will come into force on the 6th October 2025 and it is anticipated that the
Public Footpaths will close on that day until 30th October 2025. However, if the works
are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to six months.
After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the
Secretary of State for an extension of time.

Emergency Service access and pedestrian access to adjoining premises will be
maintained.
