Gotherington Parish Council

Gotherington Community Survey 2026

Your Parish Council wants to hear from you

With several new housing developments underway in the village, the Parish Council has received Section 106 and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funds from the developers. These funds are made available to mitigate the impact of new developments, ensuring local services can support increased demand.

These two funds, combined with other grant funding available, provide significant opportunities for us to make meaningful improvements to the village. The Parish Council aim to develop a five-year plan using your responses to this survey. We ask that each household submits one response on behalf of all inhabitants.

There are a number of village assets to include; the Village Hall, Rex Rhodes Building, John Woolley Pavilion, Freeman Field, the Old Chapel and play areas. Some of the responses to this survey may cover areas that do not fall directly under the responsibility of the Parish Council but grant funding may still be available. In addition, we may be able to lobby or influence the Borough and County Council to address other matters whilst there continues to be an opportunity for you to do so personally using the links provided on the Parish Council website, depending on the subject matter.

The survey will launch on Easter Friday, 03 April 2026. There will be two Open Day’s for residents to comment on the future of your village at the Village Hall on Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April 2026 whereby surveys can be completed on behalf of anyone who is unable to complete their own.

This survey will close on Friday 01 May 2026.
